Lorenzo L.8 Whitney (Walter Hunnewell7, Ezekiel6, Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Walter Hunnewell7 and Lydia E. (Doyle) Whitney, was born 1 Apr 1842, Newton, MA, and died 20 Oct 1914, Boston, MA, aged 73 years, of arteriosclerosis and senile dementia.[1]

He married firstly, 30 Aug 1862, Boston, MA, Martha J. Young, daughter of John and Harriet (-----) Young.[2] She was born about 1838, Winthrop, MA, and died before 1866 [no record found in MA].

He married secondly, 3 Dec 1866, Boston, MA, Sarah J. Robinson/Robertson, daughter of William and Jane (Nichols) Robinson/Robertson.[3] She was born 17 Feb 1847, Roxbury, MA, and died 28 Feb 1900, Boston, MA, aged 53 years 11 days, of chronic bronchitis.[4]

He resided 1267 Tremont St., Boston, MA.

ii. William Walter Whitney, b. 23 Jan 1870, Boston, MA;[7] d. 14 Dec 1883, Boston, MA, aged 14 years, of enteric fever.[8]
iii. Herbert Lorenzo Whitney, b. 15 Jul 1872, Boston, MA;[9] according to Pierce he d. 26 Feb 1875, but this is wrong, and he d. 19 Oct 1957, Roslindale, MA.
iv. Lydia May Whitney, b. 18 Aug 1874 [but Pierce says 2 Oct 1875], Boston, MA;[10] d. 25 Feb 1875, Boston, MA, aged 6 months 7 days.[11]
v. Grace May Whitney, b. 2 Oct 1877, Boston, MA;[12] d. 12 Dec 1938, Roslindale, MA; m. 18 Feb 1901, Boston, MA, George A. H. Brehm, son of Joseph B. and Elizabeth (Grimes) Brehm,[13] b. 28 Aug 1876, Roslindale, MA, d. 30 Oct 1934, Roslindale, MA.
vi. Sarah Adelaide Whitney, b. 12 Jul 1878 [but Pierce says 10 Jan 1878]], Boston, MA;[14] d. 20 Jul 1878, Boston, MA, aged 6 months 8 days, of laryngitis cong.[15]
vii. Walter Hunnewell Whitney, b. 12 Nov 1880, Boston, MA;[16] d. 28 Oct 1883, Boston, MA, aged 2 years 11 months, of pertussis.[17]
viii. Emma Gertrude Whitney, b. 13 Mar 1885, Boston, MA;[18] m. 22 Aug 1906, Littleton, MA, Royal Aston Atkins, son of Charles and Martha (Field) Atkins, b. ca. 1884, Yonkers, NY.[19]
