Matthias6 Whitney (Matthias5, Joshua4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Matthias5 and Olive (Doty) Whitney, was born 30 Oct 1794, Hancock, MA,[1] and died 19 Dec 1877, West Granville, NY.

He married, 23 Aug 1849, Rebecca B. Otis. She was born 3 Jun 1820, Washington Co., NY, and died after 1880.

He was a farmer; was a soldier in the war of 1812. He resided West Granville, NY.
