Milton Dorwin7 Whitney (Noah Ashley6, Joshua5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of Noah Ashley6 and Olive (Dorwin) Whitney, was born 22 Sep 1805, Pittsfield, MA, and died 29 May 1839, Port Lawrence, OH.

He married, 3 Jan 1830, Port Lawrence, OH, Mary Stickney, daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mary (Stark) Stickney. She was born 23 May 1808, Bow, NH, and died 22 Mar 1884. She m.(2) 29 Jan 1840, Monroe, Monroe Co., MI, Simeon Clark Green, son of Joel and Philomela (Clark) Green. He was born 20 Nov 1816, Amherst, MA, and died 27 Mar 1842.

i. Olive Louise8 Whitney, b. 25 Sep 1831, Port Lawrence, OH; d. after 1850, but before 1866.
ii. Harriet Indiana Whitney (given name not in Pierce), b. 31 Aug 1832, Port Lawrence, OH; d. 1864; bur. Collingwood Cemetery, Sylvania, OH; m. 20 Dec 1852, Ambrose Cone; resided Whiteford, Monroe Co., MI, in 1860, and Sylvania, OH.
iii. Frances Mary Whitney, b. 2 Sep 1834, Port Lawrence, OH; d. after 1900; m. ca. 1866, Ambrose Cone.
iv. Milton Augustus Whitney, b. 22 Jul 1837, Port Lawrence, OH; m.(1) Almira Wescott; m.(2) Sarah Belle Wescott.
