Nathaniel6 Whitney (Nathaniel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Nathaniel5 and Mary (Child) Whitney,[1] was born 22 Jul 1728, Westborough, MA,[2] and died 1 May 1776, Grafton, MA.[3]

He married 26 Dec 1753, Westborough, MA, Abigail Joslin,[4] daughter of Joseph and Katharine (Read) Joslin.[5] She was born 5 Sep 1735, Westborough, MA,[6] and died after 2 Apr 1782. Marriage intentions were published 15 Apr 1779, Grafton, MA, for her and Ebenezer Cutler.[7] She "Widow" married secondly, 19 Apr 1779, Shrewsbury, MA, Ebenezer Cutler, "both of Grafton".[8]

Nathaniel Whitney was a member of the company of training and alarm soldiers in Capt. Samuel Warren's company in Grafton in 1757. The inventory of Nathaniel's estate, late of Grafton, was made 5 Aug 1776. His wife, Abigail, was administratrix. Her thirds were set off 2 Apr 1782, and she was appointed guardian for Joseph, Hannah, Catherine and Lois. He resided in Grafton, MA.
