He married, 29 May 1873, Elizabeth Knapp, daughter of John W. and Rebecca (Drannan) Knapp. Since he was listed as married at the 1880 census, she apparently died after that date, but has not been found in that census.
They were living in Horseheads, NY, in Mar 1873.
