Peleg Tallman7 Whitney (Benjamin6, Abraham5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Benjamin6 and Bethiah (Woodward) Whitney, was born 12 Nov 1814, Lisbon, ME,[1] and died 19 Jan 1868, Orono, ME.

Marriage intentions were published 29 Aug 1838, Old Town, ME, for him and Mary E. Varney, "of Skowhegan".[2] He married firstly, Skowhegan, ME, 2 Oct 1838, Skowhegan, ME, Mary E. Varney. She was born 10 Apr 1817, and died 25 Jun 1859.

He married secondly, 25 Jan 1860, Saint John, NB, Louisa V. McLachlan. She was born 11 Jan 1834, Saint John, NB. She married secondly, 2 Sep 1869, Orono, ME, Arthur H/W. Dowdell, "both of Orono".[3]

He resided Orono, ME.
