Perez Whitney (James, [poss.] Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of James and Deborah (Murch) Whitney, was born 2 May 1795, Cumberland, ME, and died 12 May 1853, North Yarmouth, ME, aged 58 years.[1]

He married, 18 Mar 1824, Cumberland, ME, Mary Newcomb. She was born about 1801, and died 27 Oct 1856, North Yarmouth, ME, aged 55 years.[2] Both are buried in the Morrison's Hill (Universalist) Cemetery, West Cumberland, ME.

iii. Andrew Jackson Whitney, b. 10 Sep 1831, Cumberland, ME; d. 3 May 1906, North Yarmouth, ME, aged 75 years 7 months 32 days [sic];[5] buried in the Universalist Cemetery, Cumberland, ME.
iv. Sarah Jane Whitney, b. 19 Jan 1835, Cumberland, ME; m. 29 Oct 1853, Cumberland, ME, Daniel M. Small.
v. Benjamin F. Whitney, b. 20 May 1839, Cumberland, ME; m. Jane Varney.
