Phineas Whitney (James, [poss.] Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of James and Deborah (Murch) Whitney, was born about Dec 1797, and died 17 Sep 1877, North Yarmouth, ME, aged 79 years 9 months.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 21 Aug 1824, North Yarmouth, ME, for him "of Cumberland" and Rebecca Haskell.[2] He "of Cumberland" married firstly, 5 Sep 1824, North Yarmouth, ME, Rebecca Haskell,[3] daughter of Moses and Sally (Parsons) Haskell. She was born about 30 Apr 1801, and died 13 Nov 1825, North Yarmouth, ME, ages 24 years 6 months 15 days.[4]

Marriage intentions were published 26 Mar 1827, North Yarmouth, ME, for him and Elizabeth Haskell.[5] She was born about Feb 1805 and died 26 Sep 1849, North Yarmouth, ME, aged 44 years 7 months.[6]
