Reuben7 Whitney (Reuben6, Abel5, Nathan4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Reuben6 and Mercy (Baker) Whitney, was born 1 May 1804, Litchfield, ME,[1] and died 1842.

He "Jr." married 22 Oct 1829, Litchfield, ME, Mary C. White, "both of Litchfield".[2] She was born about 1805, ME, and died 23 May 1875.

He lived at the Corner, near the Academy building, Litchfield, ME.

ii. Julia Ann Whitney, b. ca. 1832, ME; m. ("of Hallowell" int. 25 Sep 1852, Gardiner, ME) 27 Sep 1852, Gardiner or Hallowell, ME, Russell Phillips;[5] lived in Milford, ME; divorced; m.(2) 31 Jul 1884, William J. Day; b. ca. 1831; resided Howland, ME.
iii. Sarah J. Whitney, b. ca. 1834, ME; d. 1880, Bowdoinham, ME; m. 27 Apr 1855, Hallowell, ME, Zina H. Bowen.[6]
iv. William Whitney, b. 5 Dec 1835, Litchfield, ME;[7] m. Apphia G. (Bassett) Church.
v. Reuben M. Whitney, b. 1836; m. Lucy A. Butler.
vi. Elisha A. Whitney, b. 4 May 1838, Litchfield, ME;[8] not in the family in 1850; d. 26 Jun 1862; unmarried. "Killed in the army." See his mother's pension application.
vii. Mary W. Whitney, b. 26 Sep 1842, Litchfield, ME;[9] m. William Berry; resided Bowdoinham, ME.
