Samuel7 Whitney (David6, Samuel5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of David6 and Betsey (Darby) Whitney, was born 7 Dec 1788, Rindge, NH,[1] and died 20 Sep 1851, Shrewsbury, MA.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 4 Mar 1812, Lancaster, MA, for him "Mr." "of Bolton" and "Miss" Fanny Hudson "of Lancaster".[3] Marriage intentions were published 8 Mar 1812, Bolton, MA, for him "2d" and Fanny Hudson "of Lancaster".[4] He "of Bolton" married firstly, 25 Mar 1812, Fanny Hudson.[5] She was born 1783, Boylston, MA, and died 10 Oct 1826, Shrewsbury, MA, aged 43 years.[6]

He married secondly, 1 Apr 1828, Shrewsbury, MA, Mrs. Lydia (Sawyer) Whitney,[7] daughter of Phinehas and Hannah (Whitcomb) Sawyer, widow of Isaiah6 Whitney, of Harvard. She was born 30 Sep 1787, Harvard, MA, and died 16 Mar 1873, Shrewsbury, MA, aged 86 years 4 months 16 days [sic], of heart disease.[8]

Samuel Whitney was born in -----. He was a farmer and resided at different times in Rindge, NH, Acton, MA, Boylston, and finally located at Shrewsbury, where he passed the largest part of his life and where he died. He resided Rindge, NH, and Shrewsbury, MA.
