Simon6 Whitney (Simon5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Simon5 and Patience (Wetherbee)(Hazeltine) Whitney,[1] was born Harvard, MA, 17 Mar 1770,[2] and died 1 Oct 1818, Harvard, MA,[3] s.p.

Marriage intentions were published 28 Apr 1792, Bolton, MA, for him "of Harvard" and Mary Welsh.[4] He married 22 May 1792, Harvard, MA, Polly Welch.[5] She was born about 1771, and died 26 or 27 May 1840, Harvard, MA, aged 68 years.[6]

He was a licensed store keeper in Harvard from 1792-7.

Simon Whitney's will, late of Harvard, wife Mary. Gives to widow of brother Reubin Meeds and her three children. The residue between brother Judah Whitney's children, sister Sarah Taylor's children, sister Patience Willard's children, sister Hannah Priest's children, sister Amy Draper's children, brother Reubin Meeds' children: Thomas Welch Bolton, exec., 17 Nov 1818.

Mary Whitney's will of Harvard. Gives to Mary, wife of William Lock, of Newton; Mary, dau. of brother Thomas Welch, of Leominster, Orange and Silas Welch, children of Silas Welch; Thomas Welch, exec., Sept 5, 1822. 1st Tues., July, 1840 [7 Jul 1840].

He resided Harvard, MA.

Simon6 and Polly (Welch) Whitney had no children.
