Stephen Cushing9 Whitney (John8, Joseph Glazier7, Abner6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of John8 and Eliza (Cushing) Whitney, was born 4 Jul 1833, Westminster, MA,[1] and died 20 Feb 1863, New Orleans, LA.

He, of Westminster, married, 14 Apr 1861, Ashburnham, MA, Achsah Irene May, of Ashburnham, daughter of Sumner and Maria (Eaton) May.[2] She was born 5 Jul 1839, Ashburnham, MA, and died 14 Feb 1907, Baldwinville or Lynn, MA, aged 67 years 6 months 9 days, of influenza.[3]

He enlisted in 53d Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.

She resided in Templeton, MA.

Children of Stephen Cushing9 and Achsah Irene (May) Whitney, if any, unknown.
