Susan Trufant8 Whitney (David7, Jonathan6, (prob.) Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), daughter of David7 and Mary (Trufant) Whitney, was born 20 Jun 1837, Lisbon, ME,[1] and died 3 Oct 1917, Lisbon, ME.

Intentions of marriage were published for her and William Dunn, 17 Dec 1858, Hallowell, ME.[2] She married, 25 Dec 1858, Bowdoin, ME, William Dunn,[3] son of Thomas and Alice (Cook) Dunn. He was born 28 Apr 1834, North Berwick, East Lothian, Scotland, and died 18 Mar 1902, Lisbon, ME.

William was a shoemaker, and resided in Lisbon, Maine. He was also a veteran of the Civil War, and a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. He and Susan are buried in West Bowdoin Cemetery in West Bowdoin, Maine. Susan's grave marker indicates she was born in 1837.
