Susanna8 Whitney (David7, Silas6, David5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), daughter of David7 and Sarah (Wilson) Whitney, was born about 1798, Clarendon, VT, and died 17 Apr 1863, Brunswick, NY.[1]

She married, before 1823, John Frederick Barringer, son of Frederick and Martha (Spring) Barringer. He was born 17 Sep 1802, and died Feb 1864.

Both are buried in New Mt Ida Cemetery, Troy, NY.

Mar 1855, d. 17 Sep 1937. His death notice: "BARRINGER -In Lansingburgh, May 21, 1892, SYLVESTER BARRINGER, aged 58 years. Funeral from his late residence, 485 Fifth avenue, Lansingburgh, Monday at 2 P.M. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend." Children by first wife:
