Theodore S. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1808, Ludlow, MA (but 1850 census says 1811), and died after 1850.

He married before 1835, ----- -----. She was born 1810-1820, and died between 1840 and 1850.

He was engaged in manufacture or trades in 1840, but in 1850 he was a painter.

Theodore S. Whitney enlisted in the U.S. Army, 6 May 1828, at Albany, by Lt. Phillips, for 5 years, in Co. B, 2nd Infantry, age 21, blue eyes, black hair, dark complexion, 5 feet 8 inches tall, born Ludlow, MA, farmer, but deserted 8 Jun 1829.[1]

i. Washington Irving Whitney, b. 27 Jul 1834, Niagara, NY; d. 15 Mar 1883, Fort Wayne, IN; m. 23 Dec 1863, Miranda P. Waters.
ii. Celinda Whitney, b. ca. 1837, NY.
