Thomas Whitney, parentage unknown, born about 1786, Dinedor, Herefordshire, England.

He married Sarah -----. She was born about 1792, Herefordshire, England. She died between 1841 and 1851.

The family was enumerated in 1841 in St. Owen, Herefordshire, England where Thomas worked as a laborer. Thomas was enumerated in 1851 in St. Owen where he was listed as a widowed laborer. None of his children were living with him, but he had taken in a family of lodgers.

Children of Thomas and Sarah (-----) Whitney:

i. (probably) James Whitney, b. ca. 1826, Herefordshire, England. In 1841 he was listed as an agricultural laborer in the household of Peter Munn (sp?), Dinedor, Herefordshire, England.
ii. Sarah Whitney, b. ca. 1827, Herefordshire, England. Although she was listed with her family in 1841, it appears that she was also listed as a patient servant at the Hereford Infirmary, St. Owen, Hereford, Herefordshire.
iii. (probably) Emma Whitney, b. ca. 1830, Herefordshire, England. She was listed in 1841 as a patient servant at the Hereford Infirmary, St. Owen, Hereford, Herefordshire.

v. George Whitney, b. ca. 1835, Herefordshire, England.
vi. Ann Whitney, b. ca. 1837, Herefordshire, England.
