Timothy4 Whitney (Jonathan3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Jonathan3 and Sarah (Hapgood) Whitney, was born 20 Feb 1708/9, Concord, MA,[1] and died before 20 Jul 1764, Groton, MA.[2]

He "of Townsend" married, 24 May 1738, Townsend, MA, Submit Parker,[3] daughter of James and Abigail (Prescott) Parker. She was born 10 Sep 1715, Groton, MA, and died after 1791. She married secondly, 11 Jun 1740 or 1741, Groton, MA, Reuben Woods,[4] son of Nathaniel and Alice (-----) Woods.

On 18 Jun 1740, Groton, MA, administration was granted to Submit Whitney, widow, of Groton, with James Parker and Benjamin Stone, sureties. On 1 Jul 1740 at Groton, MA, his inventory was taken by Isaac Farnsworth, John Bulkley, and Benjamin Stone, amounting to £135-16s-9d. On 22 Feb 1741/2 at Groton, MA; Submit Woods, formerly Whitney, relict of Timothy Whitney, made oath to the inventory.

i. Sible5 Whitney, b. 31 Mar 1739, Groton, MA;[5] m.(1) Peter Gilson; m.(2) Oliver Lakin.
