Walter E.8 Whitney (Henry S.8, Ezra7, James6, Ezra5, James4, John3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Henry S.8 and Maria (Pratt) Whitney, was born Dec 1856, NY, and died after 1910.

He married firstly, 16 May 1876, Worcester, MA, Elizabeth Fitzgerald, daughter of William and Mary (-----) Fitzgerald.[1] She was born about 1853, Worcester, MA, and died 8 Oct 1879, Worcester, MA, aged 25 years.[2]

He married secondly, 4 Nov 1880, Holden, MA, Emma (-----} Ewens.[3] She was born about 1848, CT.

He married thirdly, about 1899, Matilda (-----)(Wilkinson) Bentley, daughter of William H. and Mary (-----) -----. She was born Dec 1868, England, and died after 1910. She had married firstly, ----- -----. She had married secondly, 5 May 1894, Lowell, MA, Charles E. Bentley.

i. Frances S.10 Whitney, b. ca. 4 Jul 1876, Worcester, MA; d. 21 Oct 1904, Worcester, MA, aged 28 years 3 months 17 days, of pulmonary tuberculosis;[4] m. 19 Nov 1896, Worcester, MA, Bert J. Gould, b. ca. 1876, Worcester, MA, son of William M. and Rena (Gunnison) Gould.[5]
ii. Mary Gertrude10 Whitney, b. 7 Aug 1879, Shrewsbury, MA;[6] d. 7 Sep 1898, Worcester, MA, aged 19 years 1 month, of consumption.[7]
