William7 Whitney (Israel6, Israel5, Elijah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Israel6 and Phoebe (Jennison) Whitney, was born 15 Nov 1803, Boston, MA,[1] and was buried 18 Sep 1835, Cambridge, MA.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 10 Sep 1831, Cambridge, MA, for him and, Adeline Richardson "of Brookfield".[3] He married, 29 Sep 1831, Boston, MA, Adeline Richardson,[4] daughter of James Clarke and Betsey (Bennett) Richardson. She was born 9 Apr 1812, Brookfield, MA, and died 15 Aug 1895, Cambridge, MA, aged 83 years 4 months. She married secondly, 4 Jun 1840, Boston,‚Äč MA, John Howe Trowbridge,[5] son of John and Sally (Howe) Trowbridge, born 9 May 1807, Cambridge, MA.

Who might have been the Mrs. William Whitney who was bur. 12 Aug 1838, Cambridge, MA, aged 26 years?[7] Not Adeline (Richardson) Whitney, for certain.
