William Lyman8 Whitney (Freeman7, Enoch6, Moses5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Freeman7 and Mary S. (Gray) Whitney, was born 12 Jun 1833, Harrison, ME, and died after 1880.

He married, 3 Jul 1855, Harrison, ME (also recorded at Cambridge, MA), Hannah Maria Simpson of Cambridgeport, MA, daughter of Paul R. and Hannah (Thomas) Simpson.[1] She was born 14 Aug 1832, Andover, ME, and died 8 Jul 1903, Newton, MA, aged 71 years 10 months 24 days, of a cyst on the kidney.[2] She was buried in Harrison, ME.

He resided 127 Magazine St., Cambridge, MA.
