William Riley9 Whitney (William Miller8, William Henry7, Henry6, Benjamin5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of William Miller8 and Delilah (Williams) Whitney, was born 9 Jul 1829, Dummerston, VT, and died 31 May 1895, Aurora, NY. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, East Aurora, NY.[1]

He married, before 1860, Harmenia Darrow. She was born about 1839, NY, and died after 1880.

Civil War soldier: Residence was not listed; 34 years old. Enlisted on 6/25/1863 at Aurora, NY as a 2nd Lieutenant. On 6/25/1863 he was commissioned into "K" Co. NY 67th Infantry. He was Mustered Out on 8/3/1863 at Buffalo, NY.
