James1 Whiton (ThomasA), son of ThomasA Whiton, was baptized 20 Mar 1624[/5], Hook Norton, Oxfordshire,[1] and died 26 Apr 1710, Hingham, MA.[2]

He married 30 Dec 1647, Hingham, MA, Mary Beal, daughter of John and Nazareth (Hobart) Beal. She was baptized 28 Oct 1623, Wymondham, Norfolk, and died 12 Dec 1696, Hingham, MA.[3]

On 6 October 1647, "James Wyton of Hingham, mariner, granted a letter of attorney irrevocable to Richard Betscomb of Hingham to ask &c. of the executors of the last will &c. of Thomas Wyton of Hooke Norton in Oxfordshire, yeoman, deceased, a certain legacy or legacies given him by the said last will & of the receipt to give acquittance &c." [Aspinwall 88].[4]
