Help:How to use the recent changes page

From WRG
Jump to: navigation, search

The Recent Changes page lets you view the most recent edits made to pages on this site. Using this page, you can monitor and review the work of other users, allowing mistakes to be corrected and vandalism to be eliminated. There is a link to the Recent Changes page in the sidebar. You can create a link to the page like so: [[Special:Recentchanges]].

You can specify wanting to see the last 25 | 50 | 100 | 250 | 500 major changes; if you visit the main recent changes page, you will see the number you specified in the preferences.

Page edits can be marked in several ways. The most common are as follows:

  • N - This indicates that the page has just been submitted and did not exist previously.
  • m - This indicates that the user who made the change marked it as a minor edit.
  • A bold title indicates that that page is included in your personal watchlist.

Tip: If you notice the time stamp on your recent changes and history does not reflect the correct time, you must set your local time zone. To do this, log in to WRG and click the preferences link at the top of the page. When the Preferences page appears, click the Time Zone link and complete the options as appropriate.
