Thomas is age 16. Reward six pence. NEWSPAPER DATED: 22 Aug. 1785 CTC-001 [CTC-001 = Newspaper, Connecticut Courant, located both at Connecticut Historical Society and Connecticut State Library] p. 108: RECO(R), ELZA, inmate of almshouse in Farmington, child of Lucinda Hart dec., bound to Levi Whitney of Canton until age 21, which will be on 21 May 1860, to learn the trade of housewifery.
