White, Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files, Volume III: N-Z (Waynesboro, Tennessee: The National Historical Publishing Company, 1992), p. 3812 Daniel, CT Line, Hannah, W25995, sol appl 1 Apr 1818 at Stamford in Fairfield Co CT, in 1820 sol was aged 67 with a wife aged 61 & a daughter Mariah aged 15 lived at home, sol had m Hannah Selleck 19 Jun 1776 at Stamford CT, sol d 6 Aug 1826 & his wid appl 22 Nov 1836 at Stamford CT aged 76, wid d 29 Feb 1849, a daughter Hannah Whitney made aff'dt 11 Jul 1853 at Stamford CT & stated her mother had died leaving children; Hannah Whitney, Abigail Reynolds, Laura Wardell, Martha Secor & Betsey Waring He is Daniel-5 WHITNEY (Daniel-4, Richard-3, John-2, Henry-1) son of Daniel WHITNEY and Hester CLASON, born 10 May 1754 Stamford, Connecticut, and died 6 Aug 1826 Stamford, CT, married Hannah SELLECK on 19 Jun 1776 Stamford, CT, and they had 12 children. D.A.R. Records '[p.87] Daniel Whitney, 1775, enlisted in Capt. Daniel Waterbury's company, Col. David Waterbury's regiment, and, 1776, served under Capt. Samuel Keeler. He was born at Stamford, 1754, where he died, 1826.' His family appears in our Henry Whitney database.
