As a result of this early settlement and exceptional record keeping, the state is also a favorite location for ancestral research. The databases which comprise this Massachusetts Town Vital Records Collection include many previously posted on and seven additional towns (Bellingham, Ebridge, Granville, Hopkinton, Lawrence, Montgomery, and Richmond). Also provided for the first time, is this advanced search page to aid researchers seeking just one type of record (i.e. birth, marriage, or death) at: <a href=""></a> Originally published by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, in the early twentieth century, the databases in this compilation cover births, marriages, and deaths from each town from its respective founding until 1850. This series is of particular interest to those with ancestors in Massachusetts during the 1700s and 1800s. Ancestry's Massachusetts Town Vital Records collection is a growing series of databases.
