From: "R. Kyser" <sorryken -at- worldnet.att.net> Subject: [WHITNEY-L] MBTA to Lexington Date: Sun, 5 Aug 2001 02:08:52 -0500 All is not lost for the carless and/or cheap. You can get to the Sheraton Lexington from the airport or center city on public transport, probably for less than $2, any day but Sunday. The #76 bus (62/76 on the schedule) connects the hotel with Alewife Station on the subway's Red Line. Looks like it might take a little over an hour from the airport. For further MBTA info check here: http://www.mbta.com/schedmaps/bus/index.cfm http://www.mbta.com/schedmaps/subway/index.cfm http://www.mbta.com/schedmaps/commuter-rail/index.cfm or listen to the Kingston Trio's "The Man Who Never Returned". Of course, such a haul would only be good for arrival and departure, not for running around town. Which brings up another question-- is most of the action going to take place at the hotel itself? Other than a tour of John's digs in Watertown, what would take place "offsite"?
