From: "R. Kyser" <sorryken -at- worldnet.att.net> Subject: [WHITNEY-L] Re: Whitneys at Saratoga Date: Thu, 8 Nov 2001 22:06:16 -0600 This list shows ten Whitneys at the battle of Saratoga: <a href="http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysarato/batlwh.htm">http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysarato/batlwh.htm</a> How exhaustive this list is supposed to be isn't said. The Whitney brothers of Hillsdale (1407 & 1409 in Pierce) are not here, but their commander, Peter van Ness, is: <a href="http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysarato/batluv.htm">http://www.rootsweb.com/~nysarato/batluv.htm</a> I found none of van Ness's soldiers on the site. So it's either not exhaustive, or Peter van Ness fought alone!
