"American Colonists in English Records" by George Sherwood, originally published London 1932-33, reprinted Genealogial Publishing Co., Baltimore, 1961 & 1969 states: "In the Records of the Drapers' Company, London. 1609, Feb. 28. Whitney, Samuel, apprenticed to Humble, Mark. Made free 16 April, 1619. A pointmaker. Later note: 'In Virginia.'" Regards, Larry Tracy, Jr. Kennebunkport, Maine
