From: ALLAGREEN -at- aol.com Subject: [WHITNEY-L] Interesting sidelight for Whitneys Date: Thu, 17 Jan 2002 02:47:54 EST Dear WRG: A very nice (and knowledgable) gentleman is providing a daily "forgotton" term definition on Northeast-Roots. This one came today, and since it referred to a Whitney publication I thought I would pass it on. Allan E. Green *************************** pangrammatist One who occupies himself with framing sentences containing every letter of the alphabet. An exaple of such a sentence is, "John P. Brady, give me a black-walnut box of quite a small size." --William Whitney's "Century Dictionary," 1889
