Whitney (from the Mississippi Whitneys) Hi! Well said!!! Webster says," A reunion is the act of coming together again, a gathering of relatives, friends, old schoolmates etc.--meeting after separation. If a reunion is held somewhere for individuals to go to family history centers, and libraries etc. that seems to me it comes more under the title of 'educational field trips'. If I ever get to attend a reunion it will be to 'see and visit' with members of the Whitney family and share with them, pick their knowledgeable brains and enjoy. I feel if I want to go to a history center and spend several hours I can do that any time on my own and probably have more success. It sounds like what took place at the recent reunion was wonderful (I'm anxious for the handouts to see what some of the presentations were). I'm not opposed to going to view places as a group as that can be great fun. I love traipsing through cemeteries with a group of people! I would vote to keep it to simple places that have some meaning to everyone. But thats just my opinion. Rose Zella
