From: "Jo Hogle" <jhogle -at- attbi.com> Subject: [WHITNEY-L] Book Date: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 09:54:08 -0500 WRG My extended family of close cousins has asked me a few years ago to begin putting my research into book form. Since I write short vignettes for fun and can use fictional license, writing a book of fact, in an easy-reading style, is a challenge. I have worked on my shorter, less extensive lines, but I have not yet begun to tackle the Whitneys (or Parkers). Before I begin the Whitney line, I am wondering if others have made this attempt? Clearly we have the likes of Pierce and such, but I am looking for a much simpler means of sharing the story. Attempting to make John and Elinor and their descendants come a bit more alive. I will be following my own line only simply because the Whitneys were so very prolific and I am not Pierce. A family tree outline will accompany the finished product and will include the more extended family. I am also looking for "human interest" stories of Whitneys that I plan to include in a special section. Again my point is to make the history of our family come to life. Anyone have such things? Obviously full credit would be given. Thanks for any help, comments or ideas. Jo Hogle JHogle -at- attbi.com
