It is interesting that as I sit here and think about it, I can't even think of other things he says with that LI accent. After all these years I have become accustomed to it I guess. But I recall when I first met him I thought it was sooo strong. And I have friends in LI that certainly have a broader accent than Joe, I believe his has mellowed a bit with the 15 years he has lived in Minnesota - where we have NO accent. <<grin>> Jo Hogle JLHogle50 -at- msn.com<mailto:JLHogle50 -at- msn.com> ----- Original Message ----- From: ALLAGREEN -at- aol.com<mailto:ALLAGREEN -at- aol.com> To: JLHogle50 -at- msn.com<mailto:JLHogle50 -at- msn.com> ; WHITNEY-L -at- rootsweb.com<mailto:WHITNEY-L -at- rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 04, 2006 12:00 AM Subject: Re: [WHITNEY-L] Pronunciation revisited Dear Jo: I'm sorry to be the one to disabuse you, but your intended comes from Lawn Guy Land Allan
