From: "Maureen Cooley" <mary49cooley -at- hotmail.com> Subject: Adin Street Date: Sat, 04 Mar 2006 21:34:54 -0500 Dear WRG, I live in a small town in Hopedale, Mass. This was a town started by Adin Ballou. It was a Utopian Society. It failed and a man named DRAPER BOUGHT it and started a factory of CAST IRON. This factory was named DRAPER CORPORATION. It is a small town that survived because Of what Governor Draper did. Recently a Mansion on Adin Street went up for sale. When I was growing up a Doctor lived in it. Plus all his family members either lived in the Mansion OR on the grounds in small houses. This Doctor had a son...his first born who is ALSO a Doctor. On Adin Street are Doctors. Lawyers and Judges. This Mansion went up for sale about 3 months ago. I did a search on line and found it. At that time they were doing a virtual tour. About 2 weeks ago I went back online to see if it was sold yet. It was NOT sold yet. BUT there is NEW information on this sight. It said the property was listed as a bed and breakfast because there were so many bedrooms(14) There is a virtual tour of the property. It is at 105Adin.com. I do not know if there is anyone out there to invest in property right now, BUT at least go and do the tour....It is a breathtaking TOUR. I went to pool parties there in the 60's It is a very nice COMPOUND and a woderful place to live/OR have a bed and breakfast.
