Here is what I have: My grandfather was Clifford Joel Whitney, Sr. b. 12-11-1913 d. 1991 His father was Joel Whitney born 9-18-1889 in Enosburg Falls, VT m. Shirley Clifford (among other women) here is where it starts getting less sure... his Father may have been Joel J. Whitney born about 1858 in VT... everything else I have is pure speculation. I have found the name Clark G Whitney as a Joel's' father.. b 1834 and maybe his father Joel B. b.1791 .. but again... I can't find a for sure link. The link I can't confirm is the one between Joel Whitney b.9-18-1889 and his parents.. Any of these names ring bells? All good things, Sky "Fear will not hold me back.
