From: Tim Doyle <tim -at- greenscourt.com> Subject: Re: [WHITNEY] Allan Green has passed away Date: Wed, 1 Apr 2009 08:57:46 -0500 References: <0KHE003ZP1DF2U91@vms173005.mailsrvcs.net> In-Reply-To: <0KHE003ZP1DF2U91@vms173005.mailsrvcs.net> I know I speak for all of us when I say that we are very saddened to hear this news. Allan was a member of the Whitney Research Group from the beginning in 1996 and contributed greatly to the group's success. I just checked my WRG email archives, and since I joined late in 1997, over the course of the last 11 years, Allan posted over 900 emails to the group, contributing information and helping many people to find their Whitney ancestry. He kept a Whitney database (he sent me a copy last year, so the data is safe), contributed financially to Whitney research, and helped with a subgroup to discuss research on the ancestry of Thomas Whitney of Westminster. He will be missed! Tim On Mar 31, 2009, at Mar 31 - 3:39 PM, Robert L.
