This Francis Whitney was probably one of Samuel Whitney's descendants who had not emigrated to the U.S. earlier. We don't currently have a lot of information on Bermuda Whitneys or this later time period. I have created a family group page for this family on our website, located at: http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/index.php/Family:Whitney%2C_Francis_(c1819-a1880%29 Please feel free to edit that page and add in any other details that you might have, including sources. We've found that getting the information that you know out on the website helps to get more eyes looking at it and connections to be made faster.
