Phoenix says the following:
:". . . a farmer . . . . He lived in Knowlesville and Shelby, N.Y., from 1827 to 1847; and then moved to Wyoming, Mich. . . . . They were living in Byron, Mich., in March 1875. He was supervisor of Wyoming in 1860 and 1863."
