They were divorced after 1880. She married secondly, 28 Apr 1897, Chicago, IL, Stephen Green (1842-1912). She may have married thirdly, after 1912, ----- Watson. She lived in Los Angeles, CA, in 1900, and Long Beach, CA, in 1910.

He married secondly, 17 Aug 1892, Dubuque, IA, '''Lucy Canfield''', daughter of Samuel and Harriet (Wood) Canfield. She was born Jun 1865, IA, and died 9 Jan 1904, aged 38 years.{{ref|2}}

He and Lucy were buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Waterloo, IA.

He moved to Waterloo, IA, in 1857, where he was a liveryman.
