−	Hello Whitneys! My name is Arlene Whitney Durrett - parents: Allen Heatherly Whitney and Edith Myrtle Sparry; paternal grandparents: Elmer Oliver and Katherine Lavina (Allen) Whitney; paternal great-grandparents: William Oliver and Mary (Grandma May) Elizabeth Robinson. I have lived and cared for my mother for the past 10 months (she turned 100 last month) and this leaves me a certain amount of ~~fee~~ time, though not as much as one would think. Ruth Whitney Ryder, my aunt, was the genealogist for the Whitney side of ~~the~~ family and ~~manage~~ to ~~infuse~~ me with a certain interest(I resisted so it had to be osmosis!) and now a question by an 87-year-old Whitney cousin has sparked that interest again.
