A graphic artist by trade, I also help out at my husband's software company, run a small concert series in my community, and pursue my interest in music. Genealogy is a rather recent interest -- I've been at it about a year now. It has been especially challenging for me because I've gotten such a late start at it, and consequently, all of the generations before me are gone now, and it's hard to verify some of my findings. But I'm blessed to be from a large family (the youngest of nine children) so that I've been able to query my sibs about their own memories and stories from our parents, aunts and uncles.

		+	My paternal grandmother was a Whitney, so my research on that line lead me to the Whitney Research Group. I'm a newby, but I'm starting to get the hang of using the site, though I'm still not so bold to post just yet. This is my first insertion.

		+	I welcome any suggestions and advice from those of you who have more experience, and I look forward to another year of digging deeper into my roots.
