		+	My great,great grandmother is Caroline Mabel Whitney Holman, born May 30, 1847. She and her husband, Richard D. Holman, moved to Oregon, where,ultimately, I was born and raised. Her Father was Joshua Whitney, born 1819, Binghamton, NY. I have sent copies of the family Bible pages to the Broome County Historical Society in Binghamton. This male Whitney line connects back through Connecticut, Massachusetts, through John Whitney, 1592, London England, emigrating to Massachusetts. This Whitney line, as is well known, traces back to Eustace Whitney in the 1100's, then the de Whitneys, to Turstin deWigmore and Rolf Wy Flandrensis in England in 1024. This research I have done, no doubt with the help of records made public by WRG. I wonder if there are any records of the antecedents of "Flandrensis" 1024? And I am hoping to enrich the records I have, beyond the dates and birthplaces. I would especially like to know the Revolutionary war records.

		+	My mother, Caroline's great grandaughter, Muriel Schiewe, remembers hearing vivid stories about "Carrie's" life, and was the custodian of the huge Holman family Bible, which details the Whitney records back through the 1700's, which I now have. My mother never told us a great deal about the family, but in her later years, she very much wants us all to know, and entrusted the task to me. As you see, I have made some progress. I am very happy to do this for her. She enjoys it very much, and reads the records over and over. She is 85. I pursue this for her, and as a legacy to my nieces and nephews.
