Jonas8 Whitney (Jonathan7, Nathan6, Jonathan5, Jonathan4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jonathan7 and Betsey (-----) Whitney, was born 15 Mar 1824, Albion, NY.
He married, 17 Jul 1842, Bergen, NY, Emeline Pollay. She was born 20 Oct 1822, Erie Co., NY.
He was born in Albion, Orleans Co., NY, and his wife in Erie Co., in the same state. He resided in Albion until 1869, and followed his trade, that of harness maker. He moved to Iowa and Kansas in 1890; resided Canandaigua, NY, and Lone Elm, KS.
