Ira Edwin8 Whitney (Joseph7, Elisha6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Joseph7 and Abigail (Townes) Whitney, was born 13 Sep 1829, Peru, VT, and died 12 Dec 1896, Anthony, Harper Co., KS, aged 67 years 2 months 29 days.

He married, 28 Feb 1865, Pittsfield, OH, Delia Ann (Kelley) Round, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Ballard) Kelley. She was born about 10 Feb 1830, Rutland, VT, and died 14 Jan 1897, aged 66 years 11 months 4 days. She had married firstly, 1848, Providence, RI, James Round.

Both are buried in Forest Park Cemetery, Anthony, KS.[1]
