Aug. 1839, son of John and Mary Ann (Hodnett) Burlington.1 They lived at Marcellus till Dec. 1867; at the village of Lawton, Mich., till Oct. 1868; and subsequently in Porter township (Lawton P.O.), Mich., where he has been township-clerk, and secretary of Porter Grange, since Ap. 1873. He enlisted, 28 Aug. 1862, in Co. F, 122d Reg., N. Y. S. Volunteers, as corporal; joined the Army of the Potomac, 5 Sept. 1862, and took part in all of its engagements till wounded at Cold Harbor, 1 June 1864; was promoted to be sergeant, 16 March 1864; and was discharged 18 March 1865, on account of wounds received at Cold Harbor.
