4163 III. Abigail Chaffee, b. at Sharon, Conn., 11 Feb. 1738; bap. there 8 Jan. 1789; died in Sharon, 12 Feb. 1790.
4164 IV. Abigail Chaffee, b. at Sharon, Conn., 17 July 1790; married at Ellsworth, Conn., 12 June 1815, Augustus Everett, a tailor, who was born there 17 May 1783, son of Ebe and Mabel (Elmore) Everett, of Ellsworth, and g. son of Ebenezer and Lucy (Moulton) Everett. They settled in Ellsworth, and there died (she, 5 Dec. 1845; he, 3 Aug. 1867), and were buried in Ellsworth Centre Cemetery. 10951

Clarissa Chaffee, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 12 Jan. 1793; married there, 6 Oct. 1818, John Barlow Lovell, a farmer, son of Joshua and Betsey (Barlow) Lovell, of Sharon, Conn., where he was born 18 March 1796. They settled in Sharon, where she died 23 Sept. 1824. He married (2d), 25 Dec 1825, at Cornwall, Conn., Catharine Melissa Gold, dau. of Benjamin and Eleanor Pierce (Johnson) Gold, of Cornwall. He died, 9 Oct. 1851, at Waverly, Ill., and was buried there. His widow was living on his homestead at Sharon in Dec. 1875. She bore to him seven children. 10957
4166 VI. Lucy Chaffee, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 16 Feb. 1795; died 26 Oct. 1844.
4167 VII. Elizabeth Chaffee, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 31 Dec. 1798; died 4 March 1800.
4168 VIII. Chauncey Matthew Chaffee, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 20 June 1801.
4169 IX. Joel St. John Chaffee, b. at Ellsworth, Conn., 12 Sept. 1803; a farmer; married there, 20 Ap. 1827, Betsey Ann Youngs, dau. of James and Clarissa (Johnson) Youngs, of Cornwall, Conn., where she was born 20 Jan. 1809. They settled on the farm where he was born; and there died (she, 7 Sept. 1851; he, from a disease of the heart 8 March 1876), and were buried in Ellsworth. He was, for thirty-seven years, an active member of the Congregational Church, and was never absent from communion, till his last sickness. 10960
