Dixon, Ill., Aug. 8, 1884. He was born in Henniker, N.H., in 1807, where he remained until a young man, when he spent some time in traveling in Canada. In 1839 he migrated west, set- tling in Daysville, Ogle Co., Ill. He was engaged at his trade, that of coopering, at which he always worked. After his marriage he moved to Dixon, Lee Co., Ill., and followed his trade. In 1877 he was taken ill, and since then has been incapacitated for work. Of late years he has made his home in Minneapolis with his daughter, Mrs. Henry. He acquired a handsome property, and was always an industrious, honorable citizen; res.
