7573 VII. Martin Van Buren Borello Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 20 July 1842; enlisted at Adrian, Mich., in the Spring of 1862, in Co. B, 9th Reg., Mich. Cavalry; died at Rome, 3 Oct. 1864, of disease contracted in the army, and was buried there, in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
7574 VIII. Rome Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 18 Ap. 1844; enlisted at Adrian, Mich., in the Autumn of 1862, in Co. H, 11th Reg., Mich. Cavalry; died of typhoid fever, 17 July 1864, in the general hospital at Lexington, Ky., and was buried there.
7575 IX. Charles Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 22 Nov. 1845; a farmer; married at Cambridge, Mich, 24 Dec. 1873, Ida Miranda Eliza Payne, dau. of Daniel Wing and Eliza (Peck) Payne, of Rome, where she was born 14 July 1855. They were living at Rome, with her mother, in March 1875.
7576 X. Dallas Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 10 May 1847; married Emma Delano, and was living at Englewood, Ill., in May 1875.
7577 XI. Augusta Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 1 May 1848; and was living there, with her parents, in March 1875, unmarried.
7578 XII. Jeremiah Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 26 March 1852; died at Rome, 2 March 1861, and was buried there.
7579 XIII. Josephine Whitney, b. at Rome, Mich., 2 Sept 1854; married at Springville, Mich., 29 Sept 1872, by Rev. William Queal, Universalist, to Joseph Alfred Harris, a butcher, son of William and Eliza (Farmer) Harris, of Rome, where he was born, 14 July 1849. They settled at Rome, and were living there in March 1875. 15178

7580 I. Augustus Harvey Whitney, b. at Adrian, Mich., 4 Jan. 1841; a bank-clerk; died at Adrian, 10 May 1859, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery.
