Eighth Generation.
the village of St. Charles, Mich., by George A. Wallace, Esq., to Mary Elizabeth Miller, whose parents then lived at Chesaning, Mich. She was born in Tuscarawas Co.., Ohio, 21 March 1848, dau. of John and Sarah (Davis) Miller. They dwelt at St. Charles till 1 Feb. 1868; at Victor, Mich., till 20 Sept. 1869; at Oakley, Mich., till 19 Feb. 1870; and then moved to Maple Rapids, Mich., where they were living in Feb. 1874.
10053a VII. Elvira Whitney, b. at Superior, Mich., about 1839; died aged 6 months.
10054 VIII. James Volney Whitney, b. at Superior, Mich., in 1841; a trader; married Frances -----. They were living at DeWitt, Mich., in March 1874. 17387

10055 I. Hannah Whitney, b. at Carmel, N. Y.; died at Hennepin, Ill., when seven or eight years old, "a year or two before the death of her father."

10056 I. Josiah Baker Whitney, b. at Patterson, N. Y., 26 July 1826; died there, 26 June 1827, and was buried in the cemetery near the Baptist Church, at Towner's, in Patterson.

10057 I. Mary Missouri Whitney, b. at Peekskill, N. Y., 4 March 1840; died there, unmarried, 29 Jan. 1862, and was buried in Cortlandt Cemetery.
10058 II. Josephine Dykeman Whitney, b. at Peekskill, N. Y., 12 May 1842; married there, 24 Sept. 1867, by Rev. Polhemus Van Wyck, to Warren Reynolds, a farmer, born at Cortlandt, N. Y., son of Isaac and ----- (Post) Reynolds; died at Peekskill, 22 Feb. 1868, without children, and was buried in the Ref. Dutch Church-yard, three miles south of Peekskill, in the town of Cortlandt. He married (2d) her sister, Jane Adelaide Whitney.
10059 III. Adelaide Augusta Whitney, b. at Peekskill, N. Y., 22 Ap. 1844; died there, 13 Sept. 1845, and was buried in Cortlandt Cemetery.
