II. William Henry Harrison Gay, b. at Patterson, N. Y., 13 Feb. 1841; a telegrapher; served under the Sanitary Commission, in Virginia, during the war of 1861; married at Bound Brook, N. J., 13 Feb. 1867, Philena Catharine Cole. They were living at Syracuse, N. Y., in Feb. 1874. He was then superintendent of the Atlantic and Pacific Telegraph, from Cleveland, Ohio, to New York City.
